As a young man, James lived through loss and tragedies; he was orphaned to HIV/AIDS at an early age.  Today, James is a trainer, thought leader, and education advocate.  He is the CEO and co-founder of Teach For Uganda, after working with Educate! Uganda. A 2014-15 Acumen Global Fellow he had a placement at LabourNet in Bangalore, India, a social enterprise that offers workers a platform to access financial inclusion services and social protection. He is also an Aspen Institute 2014 New Voices Fellow, and has written for the New York Times, Al Jazeera, NPR, and the Daily Beast.
